It takes a rare breed of artist to be multifaceted in an overcrowded industry, but Brydell Cocky’s talent makes it impossible not to give him his flowers.
LaQuan Wilson has become a name known across the music industry. This is accredited to his wide range of skills that came through dedication, hard work, and ambition. Before embarking on furthering his education, Wilson had a vision to be more than just a graduate, but to use his knowledge to expand his brand and build a legacy for himself and a comfortable lifestyle that would inspire others to go for their dreams. Having his mind intent on greatness, Wilson would move to Los Angeles where he enrolled and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Not long after, he began working his way into the music industry, earning an internship opportunity at Motown Records at Capitol in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
For a period of 8 months, working with different artists, and brands, his eyes and mind would be opened to the possibilities that await in his future. While building connections in the industry, Wilson utilized his experience to expand into other opportunities in his personal time, creating an avenue for himself as a videographer and photographer for music artists, models, and brands. His status and artistry began gaining recognition working alongside artists like BJ The Chicago Kid, Malachiae Warren, Salma Slims, Tiffany Evans, J Cole, Drake, Big Krit, Skate Maloley, G Eazy, Kehlani, and Lil Debbie among others.
By 2016, he was already becoming one of the go-to persons for videography and performance photography. Believing the time was right to establish his own personal brand, he created the Youtube channel called “Brydell Cocky.” Before long, his name spread worldwide, amassing a following surpassing 100k+ that ate up his funny videos, reactions, challenges, vlogs, pranks and skits across his social media pages. At the core of his many talents and increasing fame, his passion for music never wavered. Brydell would tap into those musical roots to develop his craft as a songwriter, producer, engineer, and artist. His connections in the industry played a pivotal role, allowing him the chance to learn and be coached by some of the industry’s best artists and even major producer “CashMoneyAP.”
Over time, Brydell would rise higher in popularity and became known to fans by various aliases, including Fayettenam and 2-6. Record labels rushed to sign the Fayetteville artist, but to date he continues to pass on their offers to maintain control of his creativity and remain true to himself by being independent and growing a valuable brand. Currently, that brand is gaining international acclaim and Brydell intends to keep the momentum going with his most recent single that samples the popular Nickelodeon show “Zoey 101.” The song premiered on his YouTube channel on July 2nd and already has fans going crazy for the viral hit with catchy flows and witty bars.
Brydell Cocky has manifested his dreams and continues to build upon his blooming legacy in the industry. He still has a lot more planned for new and future fans, so be sure to follow the artist and enjoy all the many forms of content he continues to release.
