There’s DJs on the radio, DJs who spin at clubs, DJs who perform at festivals, DJs who produce, and then there’s DJ Xclusive City who does it all.
From inception DJ Xclusive City had music coursing through his veins. Being the son and nephew of two musicians, DJ Xclusive City was destined for great things in the music world no matter the hardships that stood in his way. Being of Haitian descent, his come-up would mean the only other DJ other than DJ Whoo Kid to become widely established with a Haitian background. With his up North roots, and Southern base where he now resides, DJ Xclusive City is inspired by music across Providence, RI to New York City and Orlando, Florida, staying in tune with the sounds that keep the streets buzzing.
Working tirelessly to perfect his craft, DJ Xclusive City would release his debut single “Ya Mean” featuring his alter ego Haitian American rapper L. Dotti, and longtime friend HUS. The single was the first off his debut studio album, Da League in 2005. Following up the success of “Ya Mean” DJ Xclusive City released the second single “Bounce & Lean” off the album. The June Brone produced track featured DJ Xclusive City as L. Dotti alongside HUS and June Brone.
With his accreditation and respect in the industry rapidly garnering fans worldwide, DJ Xclusive City became the face of many rewards. Nominations and wins for best mixing and DJing skills, DJ Xclusive City has showed out in various industry events like SiriusXM, HOT 97 and Diddy’s Revolt TV in LA and the Revolt Music Conference in Miami. His resume and undeniable gift with music got him coveted opportunities under leading imprints iHeartRadio’s Orlando Hip Hop and R&B station and 104.5 The Beat (WTKS) for “Let’s Talk!” with Viva La Koi inside the “12 O’ Clock Lunch Mix” on weekdays at noon before linking with DJ D-Strong on weekends.
DJ Xclusive City has also joined the honorary list of Official DJs for the Orlando Magic in the NBA as well as Jr. NBA and holds a weekly residency at One80 Skytop Lounge in downtown Orlando along with “iCONiC Thursdays.” Mango’s Tropical Café has employed him as one of their resident DJ’s while on 104.5 he hosts his own live mix show “Sunday VIBEZ” on Sunday nights playing the latest tunes and upcoming artists. He has developed core connections in the industry not only due to his skills, but his knack for breaking records like “If” with DaVido back in 2017 and Afro B’s smash hit “Drogba (Joanna)” in the clubs. After becoming the newest member of the world famous Da Union DJ Crew in 2019, DJ Xclusive City continues to overcome all odds, becoming well known for his deejaying in the industry, working with major artists like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Pop Smoke, Tory Lanez, Plies, Nas, Wale, and Maxwell among others.
DJ Xclusive City is a testament that hard work and dedication to the grind can bring you from anywhere to somewhere, from nothing to something, from rags to radio, from growing up listening to DJs to becoming one of the biggest DJ’s on the east coast on radio and the clubs in Orlando, FL.
