It’s Game time.
The Game has announced that his 10th studio album Drillmatic – Mind vs. Heart will arrive on Friday, June 17. Along with the release date, he shared the cover art for the “best album of 2022,” which is executive produced by Hit-Boy.
In the tradition of his past artwork, the throwback cover features a photo of a young Game holding his first born son, Harlem Caron Taylor. The now 19-year-old previously appeared on the cover for a special edition of Game’s debut album The Documentary and an alternate cover of 2006’s Doctor’s Advocate. He
Game previously told fans what they can expect from his first album in two-and-a-half years. “I know my album gone be the best album of 2022 cause the energy feels like I just signed my deal,” he said. “You’ve never heard me rap like this, I promise you.”
He continued to boast about his latest work. “I can honestly say nothing rap related will be able to stand next to this in 2022. When it drops, I promise you that if you put your ear to it you will then understand why I’m the best rapper alive,” he added.
Earlier in the year, he teamed up with Kanye West on their controversial collaboration “Eazy,” which appeared on Ye’s DONDA 2. It’s unclear if the song will also be featured on Drillmatic.
Meanwhile, Game continues his long-running rivalry with 50 Cent. He recently revealed that his former G-Unit groupmate paid him $1 million to not say “G-Unot.”
