A Judas In The Camp: The Betrayal That Led To The Death Of Nick Blixky

What up gang.

Back with the real you know what’s the deal. Rap game been getting grimier with every era. Seems like lately the mumble junkie rap been phasing out and the real have been taking over, but with that been also coming a lot of beef and bodies dropping. Maybe Jim Jones was right saying rap is the most dangerous job https://youtu.be/x9s0d118DD4 (2:55-2:58) https://youtu.be/3873zfHBQF0 (1:10-1:38) The beef between the Choos and the Woos is one that have been supporting his claims. The streets of New York been heating up and taking promising rappers with em. We lost Pop Smoke recently and now we lost Nick Blixky.

Crazy thing is, the opps seem to have used his own mans to do the murking. Today we’re going to present the facts, and try uncover the truth behind the Nick Blixky’s passing.

Born Nickalaus Thompson, he would become known as Nick Blixky of Brooklyn New York when he took the step into rapping and banging.

Before that, his destiny ahead was already being built in the gritty streets of the Bronx. He would eventually jump off the porch and become a member of the Gangster Disciples (GD) after being inducted into what the world now knows as Blixky Gang. The rapper that created the movement, 22gz who was first 22 Blixky https://youtu.be/2VvJvpegwdI (3:46-3:50)

sheds some clarity on that. According to him, their clique was Blixky Entertainment. They were a group of homies that was out to build themselves in the rap lane and take over hip hop with the NY drill sound https://youtu.be/2VvJvpegwdI (5:50-6:19) The crew would eventually rep Blixky Gang as their popularity for their hardcore and real personas and lifestyle was blowing up. The name Blixky originated from the Brooklyn slang for the ratchet, the strap, that 22 claimed to popularize https://youtu.be/2VvJvpegwdI (5:35-5:38) https://youtu.be/2VvJvpegwdI (3:39-4:19) https://youtu.be/xlFvQ3xC3LM (10:54-11:12) Nick became one of the popping ones in the camp, but that wasn’t always the case. Even though he was nice with it, at first he didn’t have the confidence in himself to do it publicly but 22Gz changed that. The two became homies in the streets and would be kicking it rolling one at Nick’s crib https://youtu.be/Bhh403vntEM (1:16-1:28)

At the age of 16 Nick would start spitting more and more. 22Gz who was already rising in the rap scene gave him the push to pursue it but Nick was still holding back and not taking it serious https://youtu.be/Bhh403vntEM (1:36-1:50) It was only when 22Gz was locked up on murder charges for a shooting in Miami where one man passed did Nick really step up and show out.

22Gz would be unaware the rapper had a track recorded https://youtu.be/KPgegRHH7EA (5:47-5:53) but would soon find out that Nick would be the one to hold Blixky Gang down alongside his gang brothers https://youtu.be/Bhh403vntEM (1:49-2:00).

Nick would drop his first rap music video for the track “Jet Li” and the song was instantly doing numbers https://youtu.be/kDczxEwgFLc This was the start to something big for Nick and in turn brought a larger audience to The Blixkys. Nick would later reunite with his homie 22 after his prison stint for the remix “Jet Li” Part 2 which currently sits over 1 million views on YouTube https://youtu.be/3BJQEHTb04w At this time Blixky was becoming the next big thing out the streets of Brooklyn. Nick Blixky and his homies were on the rise and plotting domination, but you know the old recurring tale. The more money, the more problems. The more success, the more envy. Mix that with beefs that they were involved in that were escalating in Brooklyn, and things was bound to go sideways at some point. The war between the Choos who were made up of GD’s like Blixky Gang vs the Woos who were made up of cliques of bloods and crips was getting out of control https://youtu.be/oDI65TtZETM (0:57-1:10) https://youtu.be/Ik_mgfBPKaA (1:54-2:08) Law enforcement was fighting to curb the violence, making arrest for the spiraling amount of shooting and gang banging in the city https://youtu.be/oDI65TtZETM (0:29-0:54) This was like a playground for the young bulls coming up in the game. The Drill music created by soldiers like Nick added to the rising popularity of the violence their sounds preached. The spotlight would be shone down on Nick and the Blixkys when head honcho 22gz would get signed to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang Label https://youtu.be/OWr27MwHh8Q (1:19-1:31)

He would capitalize on the momentum by dropping hit after hit to feed the streets. “Upset” https://youtu.be/8Qkk8967ozs “Different Type of Time” https://youtu.be/y0k0BOQKRQg and the banger “Drive The Boat” https://youtu.be/wlsTYdvExhI put Nick on a new wave beside his bro 22gz, becoming known for his drill inspired sound and his dance moves like the Blixky Twirl https://youtu.be/sjo0SneRZMA (5:28-5:46) They would collab on the remix to 22gz hit track “Suburban Pt. 2” https://youtu.be/BRmjopnCtTE around that time. The initial track “Suburban” helped propel him on the map https://youtu.be/E5PXvCbmBYQ This rise beside 22gz brought Nick a new beef and he would violate an opp in the process. He would make it known to opps that he was about that life https://youtu.be/HVszNDGXY2I (2:55-3:02) https://youtu.be/Qv5qKO56Dtg and he proved it. Sheff G, the rapper that dissed his homie 22gz multiple times, mocking his songs with “No Suburban” https://youtu.be/HXWNvHWhtIo and “No Suburban Pt. 2” https://youtu.be/TZrT0kdkGcc got sliced in the head from who the streets say was Nick Blixky https://youtu.be/whsbFTvY-XI (0:11-1:26) https://youtu.be/N6i8Rp12cqM (7:27-7:35)

Things would soon escalate to the point of no return when rival Woo star player, Pop Smoke was murked at a Hollywood Hills home in early 2020 by 4 gunmen https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.54614/title.pop-smoke-murdered-during-home-invasion https://youtu.be/sohci-FNhDA It’s alleged the hitters got the info to his whereabouts when Pop mistakenly posted the tag of something he bought with his address showing on the back

Blixkys would do what savages in the streets does and celebrate and laugh at their opps passing https://youtu.be/pbdN6cSck2s https://youtu.be/yeNE2ezrvuk (0:00-1:40) This would bring the downfall of one of the most promising GD’s out of Brooklyn. Nick Blixky would be the victim of retaliation in the never-ending feud, and how they got their get back was straight foul. On May 10th, not too long after Pop was murked, Nick suffered the same fate in the streets of New York.  He was found with gunshot wounds in front of 200 Winthrop Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 9:30 p.m. He would be rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/brooklyn-rapper-nick-blixky-shot-and-killed-police/2411095/  https://youtu.be/Yvo9pmgDpRs

After footage leaked of Blixky on the floor with cops surrounding him, it was initially assumed he was a victim of police brutality https://youtu.be/Q_1-r0mybUc (0:06-0:45) But it turns out that wasn’t the case and was confirmed by his gang brother Nas Blixky

With rumors of the police being responsible put to rest, the world was left to wonder what happened. It was then that the truth began to leak, that it he was a casualty of the streets and the war between him and his opps. Talks would point to it being get back for Pop Smoke and The Blixky’s making fun of his passing. Persons would try clear Nick’s name from the drama

but his death was already a reality and law enforcement was now coming forward to say they believe it was truly in fact linked to the hit of Pop Smoke increasing tension in the streets.

His opps would go to extreme lengths to disrespect the slain Blixky. Rapper Justo B would post up on IG a pic of him standing on Nick’s grave with a rake and shirt reading “Rest In Piss Nick Blixky. GDK” As if that wasn’t pushing it far enough, he would make a video popping champagne in celebration https://youtu.be/PTt7cyw7x70

GS9 member and Bobby Smurda affiliate Fetty Luciano who was the main opp going at it with the Blixkys while Smurda was incarcerated was doing the most after Nick passed https://youtu.be/LiqVHZTePzo (2:46-3:20) https://youtu.be/pBw9QDvar68 (1:16-1:25) https://youtu.be/LiqVHZTePzo (0:27-0:46) Opps were coming out the trenches to take their shot at the fallen Blixky https://youtu.be/Hp7V1g3jiq4 (6:33-7:05) https://youtu.be/xwAG1Cm5RaI (0:22-0:30)

While the opps was having their fun, investigators broke shocking news not too long after about the suspect being eyed with Nick’s targeted hit. The person of interest would be revealed as ex-convict Caliph Glean who previously did time in prison for attempted murder. But wait, get this, cops obtained surveillance footage that caught the gruesome act, but what made it really gruesome was the evidence that pointed to Nick being cool with Caliph. Yep, you heard me correct. According to video surveillance gathered by cops, Glean dapped Blixky up moments before taking his life. Crazy right? Done in by his own. Guess he was rocking with the opps now.

Cops were able to piece together the puzzle by ID’ing Glean through details caught on the footage. The shooter would be seen wearing blue bandanna, a hoodie with a pattern on it, bronze foamposite shoes and a big gold ring on his left-hand ring finger. The icing on the cake was a globe tattoo visible on the shooter’s left arm, one that matches photos and descriptions of Glean. Surveillance captured ten minutes before the killing supports this evidence, catching him in a deli near the murder scene buying a drink with the very detailed globe tattoo visible.

Multiple witnesses would assist with the investigations. One confirming that she saw a man approach Blixky and both greeting each other before Glean backed up and let shots fly. The other witness down the block heard the gunshots and saw a man wearing a hoodie and a blue bandanna run away from the scene and hop on a get-away dirt bike that was driven up by an unknown person. Tie this in with the 9mm Luger caliber ammunition that cops accuse Glean of possessing, being a match to the shell casings found at the scene of Blixky’s death and it seems an open and shut case. The results points to Nick Blixky being betrayed by his own https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-man-arrested-in-nick-blixky-killing-murder-shooting-brooklyn-20200611-ut7jwawdg5en5aj2scwmpa2hv4-story.html

His mother, who took over control on his IG account after his passing has since posted a very emotional statement in response to the violence and her sons life being taken.

She also gives a different angle on what she thought happened to her son, Nick. She believes that the Blixky gang sacrificed him so they could attain success https://youtu.be/XsIhiA6XIdY (31:00-32:12) With his moms believing he was sacrificed and evidence connecting an acquaintance to his hit, we’re all left wishing his legacy wasn’t cut short so soon. Just less than a month away, he was plotting the release of his debut mixtape “Different Timin.” Sad that he never got to see it come to the light of day.

Brooklyn has been a battlefield and it’s only getting worse with every score added to the scoreboard. It’s an endless back and forth where no one truly wins, just repition of grief, trauma, and loss. For every body that drops, the other side hits back. Later than year Blixky member Lu Blixky was the target for the opps get back, paying the same price that a talented and promising rapper like Nicky Blixky suffered https://youtu.be/kucIFySCH4M

The ball has been set in motion and only time will tell what would become of the added popularity Nick Blixky brought to his gang. They can use his motivation to rise to the top and keep his memory alive, or they can use his death to exact revenge and push the violence further, and from recent events it seems like the latter is their mission https://youtu.be/XL2hm4rrpxQ Most we can do now is hope for the best and contine blasting Nick Blixky through the speakers so his music never fades.
